Chat Guidelines
General Features
Users are automatically listed in the chat roster when they log into the event.
Users can hide themselves from view in the chat roster by toggling from 'available' to 'invisible' in the Roster Window.
Users can chat from anywhere in the environment as they browse the event and interact with content.
Users can have an unlimited number of 1-on-1 or group chats open at any given time.
Users can exchange their vCard information (name, email, title, company provided during the registration process) by requesting another user's vCard in a 1-on-1 chat session. The receiving user will need to 'accept' the request to allow the requesting user to download their vCard.
Attendees are listed as 'Attendee' in the chat roster and they are free to engage with any attendee who is listed in the Roster Window.
Booth Representatives are listed by the area in the event that they are representing in the Roster Window and they may proactively invite users to chat when attendees enter the booth they are representing.
Support & Technical Staff will be listed as 'Support' in the Roster Window and they are available to assist with any attendee questions.
Schedulers are listed with the title 'Schedules' in the Roster Window. Attendees can engage with them directly through the chat roster, or by clicking on the Executive Scheduler screen in the Press & Analyst Room which will allow them to schedule a meeting with an Executive.
Press and Analysts are listed with the title 'Press and Analysts' in the Roster Window. They are free to engage with Schedulers, Booth Representatives, and Support & Technical Staff.
